This kit features one resin 1:35 scale model British soldier holding a 1914 Enfield rifle and a dummy 'Tommy' (these were often made from papier-mâché. The Germans employed snipers first in WWI, often sniper kills were believed to be accidental stray shots until scopes were discovered on the battlefield. A notable figure on the British side was Major Hesketh Hesketh-Prichard, he noticed that some British units were losing up to 5 men a day to enemy sniper fire. He took action at first by using his own money to buy in rifle optics to conduct tests and went on to set up the First Army School of Sniping, Observation, and Scouting in France.

This kit features one resin 1:35 scale model US soldier, dressed in a Ghillie suit and carrying a monocular and an M24 rifle. The sculptor has done a good job creating the Ghillie suit as it reflects mixed sizes of hessian strips and overall disrupt the shape of the sniper. The suits also have padding on the front for extended periods of crawling. The M24 has been gradually replaced by other weapon systems in the few years before 2014.

The sculptor has done a good job creating the Ghillie suit as it reflects mixed sizes of hessian strips and overall disrupt the shape of the sniper. The suits also have padding on the front for extended periods of crawling. The spotter (US Sniper with Binoculars) available separately is also using a sniper rifle. The M24 has been gradually replaced by other weapon systems in the few years before 2014.

Royal Marine Mountain Leader / SBS / SAS Resin 1/35 scale figure
This figure represents a Mountain leader of the Royal Marines or British Special Forces soldier from the Falklands War conflict of 1982.
When Argentina invaded the Falklands in 1982, the Mountain and Arctic Warfare Cadre (M&AWC) was re-tasked from their training role to a combat role. Patrols were created for 3 Commando Brigade. Following the main amphibious landings on May 21st, 4-man patrols were inserted onto the islands where they carried out reconnaissance missions, adding to the capability that SAS and SBS patrols who already operating provided to the task force. Their operations were not limited to reconnaissance, however. Ten days after the main landings, the M&AWC engaged in a successful direct assault with Argentine Special Forces at Top Malo House.
