Master Box 1:35 Volkssturm, Germany, 1944-1945 - Plastic Figure Model Kit #35172
The Volkssturm, a German national militia or a 'people's army', was set up by the Nazi Party during the last months of World War II. Its official existence was announced on October 18, 1944, although on paper it had existed since around 1925. Hitler ordered to recruit six million men for the Volkssturm. It was staffed by males between 16 and 60 years old who were not already serving in other military units. However, the intended strength of six million was never attained. Members of the Volkssturm received only basic military training, such as a brief indoctrination and training on the use of basic weapons. Due to the lack of instructors, weapons training was sometimes done by World War I veterans. Aware of the Volkssturm's inability to withstand the attacks of the Allies, Hitler ordered that mixed battle-groups were formed from the members of the 'people's army' along with regular units.

Model Air are liquid acrylic colours designed for airbrush techniques. The formula contains extremely resistant and durable acrylic resin, which makes Model Air superior to other acrylics for airbrushing.
Colours can be mixed together or diluted with water, Model Air Thinner or varnish, according to the effect that you want to achieve. It is generally recommended to mix colours with Model Air Thinner in order to preserve their qualities. Model Air adheres well to all surfaces, especially to resin, plastic, steel and white metal. Once protected with varnish (Matt, Satin or Gloss), Model Air can resist oils, enamels and turpentine. Its resistance to friction is superior to that of other water-based acrylics.

The Deutsche Afrika Korps vehicles wore 4 different RAL colours: 8000 and 7008 before March 1942; 8020 and 7008 after March 1942. Additionally the vehicles were painted with a Panzer Grey 7021 paint base which was often exposed when the paint camo was chipped and worn. There is also a discussion about the colour of the Tiger I deployed in Tunisia, because some sources identified them in Olive Drab. However, recent research identifies the paint as RAL 8020 but in a more greenish shade than usual.
This set includes 6 colours which can be applied directly without having to make complex paint mixtures or do research about the colours used by DAK. These colours were slightly modified in order to compensate for the scale effect.

Miniart 1:35 - British Tank Mk. III Valentine V - Plastic model kit #35106
The Mk. III Valentine was a British infantry tank produced during World War II. The tank had many variants, and over 8000 vehicles of this type were produced. There are several versions of why the tank was called "Valentine", most popular being that the design was presented to the War Office on the 14th of February.
Initially Vickers produced 10 tanks per month, rising to 45 per month, and peaking at 20 per week in 1943. Production of the Valentine and vehicles based on the Valentine stopped in 1945. A total of 2,515 vehicles were produced by Vickers-Armstrong, and 2,135 were manufactured by Metropolitan. The Mk. III Valentine was also built under licence in Canada, with 1,420 vehicles produced. Most of these tanks were sent to the Soviet Union.
The British Army used the Valentine in the North African Campaign. As for the Soviet service, the tank was used from the Battle of Moscow until the end of the war.

HobbyBoss 1:35 - M3A1 Scout Car 'White' Late Version - Plastic model kit #82452
Production of the U.S. 'White' M3A1 scout car (named after its manufacturer, the White Motor Company) started in 1940 with 20,918 vehicles built until 1944. Initially it was used by armoured and reconnaissance units, but it was better suited for road use than for cross-country terrain. During the war the M3A1 was not often used in the dangerous role of a scout vehicle. Trial versions included the M3A1E1 with a diesel engine, the M3A1E2 with an armored roof, and the M3A1E3 mounting a 37mm (1.46 in) gun on a rotating pedestal. By 1943 it became clear that the vehicle had poor off-road mobility and poor armament, and it was replaced with the M8 armoured car and similar M20 Utility Car in most of the US Army units. The M3 was supplied in large numbers under Lend-Lease to the Soviet Union and to Free French forces. After the war, vehicles were exported to Israel and other countries, where they served for many years.

Miniart 1:35 - Soviet T-70 M & ZiS-3 w/Crew - Plastic model kit #35056
The Soviet T-70 was a light tank used during the Second World War. It was intended to replace two other tanks: the T-60 scout tank and the T-50 light infantry tank. The T-70 had a 45mm L/46 gun Model 38 and a coaxial 7.62mm DT machine gun. The maximum armour thickness was 60mm (on the turret front). The first tanks produced had a serious problem with the arrangement of engines, and were soon redesigned as the T-70M tanks, although they continued to be referred to as T-70. The production started in 1942 and ended in 1943, with 8,226 vehicles completed. The tank remained in service until 1948.
The ZiS-3 was a Soviet 76.2mm divisional field gun used during the Second World War. ZiS stood for "Zavod imeni Stalina" ("Factory named after Stalin"), the honorific title of the factory which first constructed this gun. When the ZiS-3 was first demonstrated to the Soviet authorities, Stalin called it "a masterpiece of artillery systems design". The Soviet Union produced over 103,000 ZiS-3 guns.
The kit contains 470 parts.

HobbyBoss 1:35 - Soviet T-28 Medium Tank (Early) - Plastic model kit #83851
The Soviet multi-turreted T-28 entered production in 1932. The tank was intended to complement the multi-turreted heavy T-35 and break through fortified defences. The design was similar to the British Vickers A1E1 Independent tank produced in 1926. It had a large turret with a 76.2mm gun and two smaller ones with 7.62mm machine guns. From 1933 to 1941 the Soviet Union manufactured 503 T-28's. These tanks were in service during the Soviet invasion of Poland in 1939 and the Winter War against Finland in 1939–1940. The T-28 was not very successful in combat and had significant flaws, but it did have a number of advanced features for the time and was superior to some of the enemy's tanks. Soviet tank designers incorporated some of the ideas tried out on the T-28 in future models.
