Miniart 1:35 - T-44 Soviet Medium Tank - Plastic model kit #35193
The T-44 was a Soviet medium tank first produced near the end of the Second World War. Compared to its predecessor, the T-34, this model had greater armour and improved ride and cross-country performance. By the time the T-44 was fully tested, the T-34 was equipped with the same 85mm main gun. Therefore the main focus of the Soviet Union was to increase the production of T-34's rather than introducing the T-44. Overall less than 2,000 T-44's were built, and although these tanks were available by the end of the war, they were not used in combat. During the war the Soviet Union started working on a slightly enlarged version of the T-44. This newer design entered production in 1947 as the T-54/55 - one of the most-produced tanks in military history.

Miniart 1:35 - German Soldiers at Rest - Plastic Figure Model Kit #35378
After the end of the First World War, the military forces of Germany called Reichswehr were limited to 100,000 soldiers under the terms of the Treaty of Versailles. In 1935, the Nazi army was renamed the Wehrmacht which allowed the Third Reich to increase its military strength. The branches of the Wehrmacht were the Heer (army), the Kriegsmarine (navy) and the Luftwaffe (air force). On the Wehrmacht recruitment posters the "ideal German soldier" was depicted as a blond and blue-eyed young man. Werner Goldberg, a German soldier, became the prototype of that image, however later he was "dismissed" after he had been found out to be half-Jewish. It is believed that the total number of soldiers who were recruited for service in the Wehrmacht during its existence from 1935 to 1945 constituted 18.2 million.

Miniart 1:35 - SU-85 Mod. 1943 (Mid Production) With Full Interior - Plastic Model Kit #35187
The SU-85 was a Soviet self-propelled anti-tank gun produced in mid-1943 for fighting against the new and more advanced German Tiger and Panther tanks featuring armour too thick to be penetrated by the older Soviet tanks such as the T-34 and KV-1. The number "85" stands for the bore of its armament, 85 mm D-5S gun, which was modified from the 85 mm anti-aircraft gun by Fyodor Petrov and was strong enough to penetrate the Tiger I from 1000 m. The advantages of the SU-85 also included excellent mobility and a standard commander's cupola that ensured good visibility. Though successfully used in combat until the end of the war, the SU-85 was replaced by the SU-100 which proved to be more effective.
The kit contains 805 parts.

The T-37A, a Soviet amphibious light tank, was the first mass-produced fully amphibious tank in the world. The T-37A was based on the British Vickers tankette, and entered production in 1932. The Red Army used these tanks for communication, reconnaissance, and defense purposes. The T-37A tank was deployed during the Soviet invasion of Poland, the Winter War and in the beginning of the Second World War. Subsequently the configuration of the tank borrowed from its British prototype became a standard in Soviet amphibious tanks of the 1930s. The T-37 tank was put out of service in 1936 and replaced with the more advanced T-38 series.

Trumpeter 1:35 - PLA Type 62 Light Tank - Plastic Model Kit #05537
The PLA Type 62 light tank, also known as the Norinco Type 62 or WZ131, was manufactured in China in the early 1960s. Its design originated from the Chinese Type 59, however, due to thinner armour and smaller 85 mm Type 62-85TC rifled gun its weight was reduced, which made it much more appropriate to the geographical environment of Southern China with its lakes, rivers and rice paddies.
The maximum range of the gun was 12,200 m and maximum aimed range was 1,870 m. The fire range could amount to 5 rpm. The Type 62 was additionally equipped with 12.7 mm Type 54 anti-aircraft heavy machine gun (a Chinese copy of 12.7 mm DShK 1938/46 heavy machine gun) and two 7.62 mm Type 59T medium machine guns. Another 7.62 mm Type 59T machine gun could be added to the left side of the turret hatch.
The Type 62 tank appeared on the battlefield during the Vietnam War, Ho Chi Minh Campaign and Sino-Vietnamese War, however eventually it was recognised as ill-equipped for warfare because of its thin armour and poor armament.
At present the Type 62 is withdrawn from use in China, however it still operates in other countries as fire support or against lightly armoured vehicles.

Revell 1:35 - LCM3 50ft Landing Craft & Jeep - Plastic Model Kit #03000
June 6, 1944, best known as "D-Day", was one of the crucial days of the Second World War, the day when the Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy. At the landing light vehicles and some other cargos were carried ashore from the LCM3 50ft landing crafts which had been widely used by British and American naval forces since 1942. Cargo capacity of those crafts was up to 30 tonnes. As for the vehicles, the most common cars employed during the war were all-wheel-drive jeeps. Those jeeps were often brought ashore from landing crafts to the coast by the soldiers for the purpose of transportation.

Trumpeter 1:35 - Soviet Object 268 Heavy Tank Prototype - Plastic model kit #05544
The Object 268 (Obiekt 268) was a Soviet tank destroyer manufactured at the Kirov Plant, Leningrad, in 1956. Its development was led by Joseph Kotin. The chassis of the Object 269 was designed on the basis of the T-10 heavy tank. The Object 268 was equipped with 152 mm M-64 cannon which ensured excellent penetration, high shooting accuracy and fast rate of fire. The tank destroyer successfully passed the tests, however it was never actually used on the battlefield because it lacked enough gun power to fight against newly-designed English Chieftain and American M60 Patton battle tanks.

The Flak 38(t) was a German self-propelled anti-aircraft gun of the Second World War. An improved version of the Flak 30, it was widely used by different German forces. Rheinmetall created the Flak 38 in order to improve the fire rate of the Flak 30. The Flak 38 had a fire rate of 220 rpm (compared to 120 rpm of its predecessor) and much lower weight. In 1939, the Flak 38 was recognised as the standard Army gun, but later on Mauser came up with its even lighter modification, the Gebirgsflak 38, which could be easily used against both air and surface targets.

Solid Water is a low odour, 2 part resin for simulating crystal clear, hard and durable water. It helps create the illusion of deep water with minimal thickness.
Using one of the syringes, accurately measure 2 parts of resin into the mixing cup. Ensure that you do not cross contaminate the syringes. For each 2 parts of resin, add 1 part of hardener. Do not add extra hardener, as it will not accelerate the curing time. Using the spatula, mix thoroughly and add colour if necessary. Pour the solid water into your prepared base. If required, the solid water can be textured with a toothbrush after 8 to 10 hours, which gives the illusion of a realistic flow of water. The solid water will need 24 hours to fully harden.

The T-37, a Soviet amphibious light tank, was the first series of mass-produced fully amphibious tanks in the world. The design was based on the British Vickers tankette and other operational amphibious tanks. Mass production began in 1933 and ran until 1936, when the T-37 was replaced with the more modern T-38. During the four years of production, the Soviet Union built 2552 T-37's.
The Red Army used this tank for communication, reconnaissance, and defense purposes, as well as for infantry support on the battlefield. The T-37 was used during the Soviet invasion of Poland in 1939, in the Winter War against Finland (1939–1940), and in the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. Some T-37's fought on the front lines until 1944.

The Panzer II tanks were produced from 1935 till 1943 and played an important role in the early years of WWII. By 1940-41 they were supplanted by the Panzer III's and Panzer IV's. The Pz.Kpfw.II was used during the Polish and French campaigns, in North Africa against the British, and on the Eastern Front against the Red Army.
The Panzer II Ausf. D, Ausf. E, Ausf. F and Ausf. L were designed as reconnaissance tanks. Continued development of the reconnaissance tank concept led to the much up-armored Ausf. J, which used the same concept as the Pz. Kpfw.I Ausf. F of the same period and had an experimental designation VK1601. This version had heavier armour, with protection brought up to 80mm on the front and 50mm on the sides and rear. With 25mm roof and floor plates, the Pz. Kpfw. II Ausf. J had a total weight of 18 tons. It was equipped with the same Maybach HL45P as the Pz. Kpfw.I Ausf. F, and its top speed was reduced to 31 km/h. Primary armament was the 2cm KwK38 L/55 gun.
22 of these tanks were produced between April and December 1942, and seven were issued to the 12th Panzer Division on the Eastern Front.

The Leichter Panzerspähwagen was a light four-wheel drive armoured car produced by Nazi Germany between 1935 and 1944. It had the standard sPkw I Horch 801 chassis and a 67 kW (90 hp) Horch 3.5 petrol engine, which give it a road speed of 80 km/h and a cross-country speed of 40 km/h. The car had a maximum range of 300 km.
The Leichter Panzerspähwagen was used by the reconnaissance battalions of the Panzer divisions. It performed well enough in countries with good road networks, like Western Europe, but on the Eastern Front and in North Africa it was hampered by its relatively poor off-road performance and was gradually replaced in the reconnaissance role by the Sdkfz 250 half-track.

Length: 236mm, Width: 97mm
The imposing form of the Elefant, including its 8.8cm gun and large fighting compartment, has been accurately reproduced based on a thorough study of an actual museum example. One-piece fighting compartment is made via slide moulding technique. The main gun, engine grilles, and detailed suspension are designed to ensure easy assembly. The tracks feature one-piece straight sections with realistic sag effect.
Kit comes with commander, loader, and driver torso figures. 3 marking options included to depict vehicles deployed to the Italian and Eastern fronts.
The German heavy tank destroyer Elefant was armed with a powerful 8.8cm L/71 gun which could knock out T-34 tanks at a distance of 2,000m, protected by armour up to 200mm thick, and equipped with advanced features such as a hybrid drivetrain. It had its roots in the Porsche-designed Ferdinand, which was first deployed into combat during the Battle of Kursk in 1943. The lessons learned from that battle resulted in modifications including the addition of a commander's cupola, a machine gun for infantry defence, and better tracks and the enhanced vehicle received the new designation Elefant in February 1944. Elefants were deployed to Italy and the Eastern Front, where they continued to defend against Allied forces until the final skirmishes of the war.

The Pz.Kpfw 38 (t) was initially designed by ČKD (Českomoravská Kolben-Daněk) - Czech engineering company - in 1938. From May to November 1939, 150 tanks were produced for the Wehrmacht. They were designated Pz.Kpfw 38 (t) Ausf. A. These tanks had excellent technical characteristics - speed, armour protection and high reliability, and were considered to be the best light tanks in the beginning of WWII. They were also used by Hungarian, Romanian, Slovakian, and Bulgarian armies, and were exported to Sweden, Switzerland, Peru, and other countries.
The Pz.Kpfw 38 (t) Ausf. G was the result of a growing demand for heavier armour. This tank had a basic 50mm armour plate on all frontal surfaces. It was mainly used in Russia, with some models exported to Germany's allies.
