Master Box 1:35 Volkssturm, Ammunition to the Frontline - Plastic Figure Model Kit #35182
The Volkssturm, a German national militia or 'people's army', was set up by the Nazi Party during the last months of World War II. Its official existence was announced on October 18, 1944, although on paper it had existed since around 1925. Hitler ordered to recruit six million men for the Volkssturm. It was staffed by males between 16 and 60 years old who were not already serving in other military units. However, the intended strength of six million was never attained. Members of the Volkssturm received only basic military training, such as a brief indoctrination and training on the use of basic weapons. Due to the lack of instructors, weapons training was sometimes done by World War I veterans. Aware of the Volkssturm's inability to withstand the attacks of the Allies, Hitler ordered that mixed battle-groups were formed from the members of the 'people's army' along with regular units.
The kit represents two German children of war, a boy and a girl, pulling a bicycle cart full with ammunition supplies along a ruined street.
The contents of the cart include:
- 3 x German helmets
- 3 x gas mask containers
- 3 x Panzerfaust 60 guns
- 2 x Kar 98k rifles
- 1 x Gewehr 43 rifles
- 1 x STEN gun
Includes parts for the assembly of two figures, one bicycle cart and ammunition. Glue and paint are not included.

Miniart 1:35 - Dingo MK IB British Armoured Car w/Crew - Plastic Model Kit #35067
The Dingo was a British light two-man armoured car, relatively low and wide enough to have the required stability for fast off-road rides. Its initial armour was thin, just enough to stand against infantry ordnance. At the Army’s request, it was thickened, reaching 30mm (1.18 in) on the front nose and glacis. Deflecting armoured sloped panels were welded all around the central framework. The front driving compartment had four opening hatches. The engine was the regular Daimler 6-cyl 2.5 l 55 hp (41 kW), fed by a 300 l (79.25 gal) gasoline reserve (two tanks), which gave an incredibly long range for its small size. The transmission consisted of a pre-selector gearbox, fluid flywheel, five forward gears and five reverse gears, allowing steering with all four wheels. This feature gave the Dingo a very tight turning radius, only 7m (23 ft), but the system was tricky to master for inexperienced drivers, so a more conventional design with front-wheel steering was chosen.
During the course of wartime production, it appeared that the flat bottom plate, which allowed the crossing of uneven ground, was highly vulnerable to mines. The rubber tires were of the run-flat semi-solid type, so no spares were carried, but their toughness was compensated by the massive vertical coil springs, to give a smooth ride. There was a swiveling seat next to the driver, for a machine-gun servant/radio operator, equipped with a N°19 wireless radio set. The base armament was a removable cal. 0.303 (7.7 mm) Bren gun, with a dozen spare magazines. This armament could be swapped over for a heavier Boys antitank rifle (cal 0.55 in/14 mm). This gave the vehicle, which was fast and well-protected, with a good engine and low profile, a real advantage against all sorts of light vehicles, making it perfectly suited for reconnaissance and liaison missions.
The Dingo was produced from 1939 to 1945, and remained virtually unaltered. The Mark IB was the third variant of the series. It had a reverse cooling air flow and new armoured grilles for the radiator, allowing better ventilation. The bulk of these vehicles served in the Libyan desert.
This kit represents a British Dingo MK IB armoured car and three British crew-members: a driver, an observer and an officer. All three figures are dressed in British desert uniforms and armed with holstered revolvers. The officer has a pair of binoculars, a water bottle and a map case.
The kit contains 218 parts.
Includes parts for one armoured car and three figures.

The T-18 was the first light tank developed in the Soviet Union. Its design was based on the French Renault FT and improved by addition of a vertically sprung suspension to increase the tank speed over rough terrains. The T-18 was also called MS-1, an abbreviation of "Maliy Soprovozhdeniya, Perviy" meaning "Support vehicle, small, type 1".
The first prototype was built in 1927. Designated the T-16, it was powered by a 35 hp truck engine and armed with a 37 mm gun, a modification of the French Puteaux SA 18 cannon. Unable to overcome trenches wider than 1.5 m, the T-16 was replaced by the T-18 which entered production in 1928.
The T-18 was considered an improvement over both the T-16 and the Renault FT. Its armament consisted of a French 37 mm Model 28 cannon and a double-barrelled 6.5 mm Fyodorov machine gun. Overall ammunition included 104 x 37 mm shells and 2,016 x 6.5 mm cartridges. The turret was protected with 8 mm curved plates and a 3 mm mushroom-style cap. The hull armour was 16 mm thick and 3 mm plates were used on the bottom of the tank. The maximum road speed was 18 km/h. However, the T-18 still had problems with crossing trenches and ditches more than 2 m wide and 1.2 m deep.
T-18 tanks were used in service during the Sino-Soviet conflict of 1929. When Germany attacked the Soviet Union in 1940, several T-18s were renewed with 45 mm guns and renamed the T-18M to take part in combat. Despite of the fact that the T-18 design was proved unsuccessful, it was the first step towards more advanced Soviet armoured vehicles.

Miniart 1:35 - T-60 Early Series with Interior - Plastic Model Kit #35215
The T-60 was a Soviet light tank of WWII aimed to replace the T-38 amphibious tank, outdated by that time. The prototype for the T-60, the T-30B, was built at Moscow Factory No. 37. It had the T-40's chassis and was equipped with heavier armour, yet it was easier to construct overall. The T-30B was commissioned to production under the name T-60 in 1941 and was produced until 1942. During the year of production over six thousand T-60 tanks were issued.
Initially the T-60 was armed with a 20mm TNSh cannon (a tank version of the ShVAK aircraft auto-cannon) which could pierce 15mm armour at the distance of 500m. That range was insufficient against contemporary German tanks so the 37mm ZIS-19 cannon was offered as a replacement. However, it turned out to be impossible to re-arm the tank as 37mm ammunition was scarce in the USSR at that time.
During the war, the Germans managed to capture several T-60 tanks and used them under the name Panzerkampfwagen T-60 743(r).
The kit contains 482 parts for the assembly of a Soviet T-60 light tank.

The T-50 was a Soviet light tank developed in 1939 for the needs of the Red Army. After the Spanish Civil War it became obvious that the Soviet tank fleet consisted mostly of modified versions of foreign vehicles required an upgrade. The T-50 was planned to replace the T-26 light infantry tank which was a Soviet redesign of the British Vickers Mark E.
The production of the T-50 began shortly after the German attack on the USSR in June 1941. A torsion-spring suspension, a diesel engine, and a good slope of armour made the tank one of the most advanced Soviet designs of that time. One more advantage of the T-50 was a commander's cupola used in Soviet tanks for the first time (instead of panoramic periscopes). Similar to Soviet medium and heavy tanks, the T-50 also had a three-man turret.
However, despite of its remarkable design, the T-50 never entered mass-production due to a number of technical problems. One of the problems was the tank's new diesel engine which was proved unreliable and expensive to produce. Only 69 units of the T-50 were completed. Later the Red Army rejected the concept of light infantry tanks replacing them with cheaper SU-76 self-propelled guns and more efficient T-34 medium tanks.
Several T-50 tanks saw action on the Leningrad front. One unit was taken over by Finnish troops and now is displayed in Finland.

Trumpeter 1:35 - German Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer STARR - Plastic model kit #05524
The Jagdpanzer 38 (Sd.Kfz. 138/2), later known as the Hetzer ("pursuer/hunter"), was a German light tank destroyer, based on a modified Czechoslovakian Panzer 38(t) chassis, inspired by the Romanian "Mareşal" tank destroyer.
The Jagdpanzer 38 Starr ("Starr" means "rigid" in German) was a simplified version of the Jagdpanzer 38, first built in 1944. It was armed with the 75mm Pak 39 recoilless gun, while the original Hetzer used a traditional 75mm Pak 39 gun. First prototypes of the Hetzer-Starr were equipped with Tatra 928 diesel engines, however later they were replaced with standard engines. Several Hetzer-Starrs were used during the Prague uprising in 1945. Overall 10 vehicles of this type were built, 9 of them were later converted back to the normal Jagdpanzer 38. The remaining prototype was destroyed at the end of the war.

Trumpeter 1:35 - German Super Heavy Jagdpanzer E-100 - Plastic model kit #01596
The Entwicklung series (German for "development"), shortened to E-Series, was a family of late WWII German tanks that were planned to be developed according to a standardised design. This was an attempt to stop the production of extremely complex and mechanically unreliable tanks in favour of cheaper, simpler and more efficient designs. However, the E-Series tanks featured only small modifications in armour and gun power compared to their predecessors which they were intended to replace.
The E-100 was one of the latest tanks of the E-Series. Based on the Tiger-Maus design that combined features of the Tiger II and the Maus, the E-100 prototype was constructed in 1944. However, further development was practically ended right after Hitler had issued the order to stop the Maus project.
Initially, a 75mm coaxial gun similar to the one from the Maus was meant to serve as the vehicle's armament, but later it was decided to choose a 170mm anti-tank gun in order to save more space for the crew and equipment. Another advantage of the 170mm gun was that it could shoot armour piercing projectiles at the range of up to 4 km. The speed of the tank was expected to reach 40 km/h.

Trumpeter 1:35 - German 2cm Flakvierling 38 auf Selbstfahrlafette (Sd.Kfz.7/1 Late Version) - Plastic model kit #01524
The Flak 38 was a German 20mm anti-aircraft gun used throughout WWII which became the most numerously produced German artillery piece of the period. The 20mm Flakvierling 38 auf Selbstfahrlafette (Sd. Kfz. 7/1) was the result of combining the 20mm Flakvierling 38 with four Flak 38 guns and the Sd. Kfz. 7 half-track, to provide greater mobility and firepower. The Sd. Kfz. 7/1 carried 600 2cm rounds on board and 1800 rounds in the towed Sd. Ah. 56 trailer. The guns had the 360 degrees traverse by hand and could be elevated from -10 to +100 degrees. The later versions also included an armoured cab for better protection of the crews. A crew of 10 included a gun commander, eight gunners and a driver.
The first 100 vehicles were produced in 1940-1941 and production continued at a rate of 10 vehicles per month until August 1942, when the monthly rate was significantly increased. Around 800 vehicles were produced by December 1944. From 1942, most vehicles were fitted with lightly armoured driver cabs and a plate to protect the engine compartment. The armour was 8mm thick. These vehicles were issued to Flak units of the Luftwaffe and Panzer units of the German Army. Sd. Kfz. 7/1 units were used to protect armoured units against low flying aircraft but were also successfully used against ground targets.
The kit represents a late version of the Sd.Kfz.7/1 with a 20mm Flakvierling 38. Early versions featured the central circular pivot mounting for the 20mm Flakvierling 38. Later versions had a normal ground mounting fitted to the rear bed which allowed the gun to be easily removed and mounted on the standard Flakvierling Sd. Ah. 52 trailer if necessary.

Academy 1:35 - M2A2 Bradley Iraq 2003 - Plastic Model Kit #13205
The M2 Bradley is an American infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle family. It is used by US infantry units mainly for transportation and reconnaissance. Highly maneuverable and fast, it is able to protect the crew from small arms fire. Armed with the 25 mm M242 Chain Gun and TOW anti-tank missiles, the M2 Bradley is effective against major threats on battlefield. The vehicle is designed for a three-member crew (a commander, a gunner and a driver) and six soldiers carrying the necessary equipment.
The M2A2 version was issued in 1988. Featuring a better engine (600 hp or 447 kW) and a number of armour improvements, the M2A2 also had the ability to mount explosive reactive armour. The new armour also made the M2A2 amphibious. The turret of the vehicle acquired a semicircular shield which served as additional armour and provided more space for ammo storage.
The M2A2 and other M2 vehicles saw action during the the Gulf War in 1990 and Invasion of Iraq in 2003. In 2007 the production of the M2 Bradley was stopped and it was replaced by MRAPs which proved to be more durable in combat.

The Land Rover Defender was a British 4-wheel sports utility vehicle designed on the basis of the earlier Land Rover Series issued between 1948 and 1985.
The Defender entered production in 1983 under the name of Land Rover 110 which referred to the length of its wheelbase (110 inches or 280 cm). In 1984 the model was improved with wind-up windows and a 2.5-litre diesel engine with the power of 51 kW (68 hp) replacing older 2.3-litre engines. The designation "Defender" was introduced only in late 1990's. At that time 2.5-litre engines evolved into new turbo diesel 200TDi series, however the Defenders for military use were still equipped with 2.5-litre ones.
The Defender 110 was in service with the British and the Commonwealth Armies between 1950's and 1990's. It was also deployed by the US forces during the Gulf War in 1990-1991.

The Leichter Panzerspähwagen was a light four-wheel drive armoured car produced by Nazi Germany between 1935 and 1944. It had the standard sPkw I Horch 801 chassis and a 67 kW (90 hp) Horch 3.5 petrol engine, which gives it a road speed of 80 km/h and a cross-country speed of 40 km/h. The car had a maximum range of 300 km. Its armament consisted of one 2 cm KwK 30 L/55 main cannon and one MG 34 secondary machine gun.
The Leichter Panzerspähwagen was used by the reconnaissance battalions of the Panzer divisions. It performed well enough in countries with good road networks, like Western Europe, but on the Eastern Front and in North Africa it was hampered by its relatively poor off-road performance and was gradually replaced in the reconnaissance role by the Sdkfz 250 half-track.

Black Dog Models 1:35 US Snipers Set - Resin kit #F35119
This kit features two resin 1:35 scale model US soldiers, both dressed in Ghillie suits and carrying M24 rifles. The sculptor has done a good job creating the Ghillie suits as they reflect mixed sizes of hessian strips and overall disrupt the shape of the sniper. The suits also have padding on the front for extended periods of crawling. The spotter in this kit is also using a sniper rifle which is less common for US Sniper teams. The M24 has been gradually replaced by other weapon systems in the few years before 2014.
Kit contains 2x figures. Requires some assembly.

A British medium tank, the Vickers Mark II was developed in the Inter-war period to replace remaining Medium Mark C units, already outmoded by that time. Based on the Vickers Mark I, it surpassed its predecessor in several aspects: it featured an improved suspension, a better placed superstructure and Rackham clutches involving servo-based control. The modifications, however, increased the weight of the vehicle reducing its speed from 24 km/h to 21 km/h.
The Mark II was armed with a 47 mm 3-pounder gun, four machine guns in the turret and two Vickers machine guns, one on either side of the hull. A sloped rear of the turret made it possible to use the machine guns against aircraft.
Both the Mark I and Mark II served in the Royal Tank Regiment until their production was stopped in 1938. Some Mark II's equipped the Mobile Division commanded by Sir Percy Hobart in Egypt, but by the time the Italian invasion began, they were no longer in use. During the threat of German invasion in 1940, some of these tanks were reactivated for a short time.

The Steyr ADGZ, also known as the M35 Mittlere Panzerwagen, was a heavy armoured vehicle designed for the needs of the Austrian Army in 1934. The production was started in 1935 and lasted two years. KwK 35 L/45 was used as the main armament.
Both the Austrian Army and Police used a number of M35 vehicles during the Anschluss (the German annexation of Austria in 1938). When the Germans came to power, the cars were widely deployed by the Police as well as in combat in the Balkans and on the Eastern theatre of WWII.
By order of the SS a few additional M35 units were produced in 1942. They were designed without a rear which made it possible to drive the vehicles at both ends. In wartime the M35 saw action during the Invasion of Poland and Operation Barbarossa.
